Where in the country can
one charter a jet for your use on demand? Why Pensacola of course!
DayJet
Corp.
Pensacola's airport is one of 5 premier locations that DayJet is
using as a location for a "dayport," which offer on-demand
flights on the company's fleet of small jets.
Customers pay a $250 annual membership fee, plus airfare, which
would cost about as much as a commercial flight plus one overnight
stay at a hotel.
DayJet has settled on Boca Raton, Gainesville, Lakeland, Pensacola
and Tallahassee for its first five dayports.
Drive to the Pensacola DayPort location and find parking within
actual sight of the building. Walk in and go straight to the front of
the line because there are no lines, just a DayJet professional ready
to personally assist you. After check-in, it's a maximum 30-minute
wait in comfortable, living room-style chairs where you can have a
snack, check email or watch the latest headline news. And then it's
straight on board, with no more than two other passengers. Every
DayPort location is selected based on a 300-point checklist, ensuring
the highest level of customer experience – from ample parking and
ground transportation to safe and reliable operations.
DayJet has a simple yet powerful mission: to make on-demand
regional travel widely accessible and affordable with the nation's
first "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service. DayJet service
combines the convenience and productivity of corporate jet travel with
the availability and affordability of commercial air travel.
To achieve our vision, DayJet has teamed with Eclipse
Aviation Corporation, a leading manufacturer of new-generation,
small jet aircraft. DayJet Corporation will own, manage and operate a
large fleet of Eclipse aircraft, giving us total control over our
customers' experience.
The company is designed from the ground up to deliver the highest
availability, reliability and flexibility in on-demand jet travel
through technology-enabled transportation services. The combination
will make it possible to offer an affordable alternative for you to
fly direct — where you want, when you want - increasing your
productivity and enhancing your quality of life.
"Within the next three years of operation, we're looking to
have 50 to 60 dayports in the seven states of the Southeast,"
Murphy said.
